It's solid agglomerated cork: Portuguese cork bark, pressed and bonded under heat and pressure into a dense, uniform core. No plastic shell, no foam filler, no synthetic coating. The cork on the outside is the cork all the way through.

Cork comes from the bark of the cork oak (Quercus suber). The tree is never cut down to harvest it; the bark regrows on a roughly nine-year cycle. The same forests have been worked this way for generations.

Firmer. Cork doesn't compress under bodyweight the way EVA or PE foam does, so the pressure you set is the pressure you get. If you've used a high-density foam roller and wanted more, this is the next step. If you're new to rolling, start with shorter sessions and let your tissue adapt.

Yes, genuinely. Cork harvesting sequesters carbon, supports old-growth Mediterranean forest, and the material itself is biodegradable at end of life. There's more on the material story on our philosophy page.

Wipe with a slightly damp cloth and let it air-dry. Avoid soaking, harsh solvents, or abrasive scrubs. Cork is naturally antimicrobial and doesn't need them. A light wipe after intense sessions is enough.

Cork develops a quiet patina with use, but it shouldn't crack or shed material with normal recovery work. If yours does anything unexpected within the first year, write to us and we'll take a look.

Anywhere dry and out of direct, prolonged sunlight. The roller is built to live in your space, beside the mat, near the bed, or in the studio. It is finished to be left out in plain view. Prolonged UV exposure will lighten the surface slightly over time.

Cork tolerates incidental moisture, but it isn't designed to be submerged or used in a steam room. Dry it thoroughly if it gets damp.
